ARTIST STATEMENT

“My relationship to art is spontaneous and intuitive: Each painting is created by smoothing colors on the canvas, without sketching or drawing an idea first. When I paint, I work with color to express the radiance of light. I attempt to capture momentary experiences of being in union with God.”

I work with color and light to keep my paintings alive, as my passion kept me alive during my most difficult times. Moments of inspiration arrive unexpectedly, and I work to reflect these moments. Soul, like truth, cannot be captured, but arrives unexpectedly to enliven and give strength and hope through faith.”
